Connecting Classrooms

The new Connecting Classrooms programme was officially launched by the British Council and the UK Department for International Development on 24 June 2015.

The new programme, running from 2015–2018, will build the capacity of 45,000 teachers and 12,000 school leaders worldwide to support them to integrate a range of core skills into the curriculum, with a focus on:

The new Connecting Classrooms professional development offer will launch soon.

It will include face-to-face and online learning training for teachers and school leaders in participant countries worldwide to support them to integrate a range of core skills into the curriculum, with a focus on:

  • digital literacy
  • critical thinking and problem solving
  • creativity and imagination
  • student leadership
  • collaboration and communication
  • citizenship

While the offer is prepared for launch there are a number of existing global citizenship online learning courses that are currently available.
