Membership

What we do

We support teachers in developing the global dimension, to encourage young learners to explore some of the big issues in the world such as: social justice, interdependence, diversity, human rights and conflict resolution. We appreciate the importance of community engagement and can work with you to develop an approach appropriate to your school and its location.

Activities and Support include:

Training on all aspects of global citizenship

Support with North-South global school partnerships with the Gambia and elsewhere –

finding a partner and developing your link

Classroom workshops tailored to suit your needs

Whole school or departmental INSETs on the global dimension

Resources – books, activity packs, artefacts boxes

Telephone/email support and information

Study visits to the Gambia

Engagement in innovative funded projects which promote global understanding

Work in school with ITT students

Development of accredited work for teachers and older pupils through the Global School

Award and Asdan/Cope Awards
