Mark Goldring, chief executive of Oxfam GB

This year MBG's Harvest Lecture will be delivered by Mark Goldring, who is the Chief Executive of Oxfam GB and has been in post since May 2013.

The lecture will address the issue of global poverty in the twenty-first century. Over the last twenty years, the world has made huge progress in reducing extreme poverty. What stands in the way of eradicating it? Mark will explore some of the issues we have to address to complete the work and in particular explore how much growing inequality and conflict is a barrier to ending poverty.

The Theatre on the Hill, Marlborough, SN8 4AX, Thursday 2 November 8.00pm.
