Training and Work Placement

MBG is sometimes able to arrange for (young) Gambians to undertake training in local colleges or work placements with local employers. Please concider the following points -

  • Requests must made well in advance through the director of TARUD
  • Time must be allowed for MBG to negotiate with local employers
  • Periods are usually for 2-6 months
  • MBG can handle only a few requests at any time
  • MBG will try to find accommodation and some living expenses
  • Those coming from The Gambia will have to have raised some funds themselves
  • MBG will help to secure visas for the Gambian visitor, but the terms of such visas must be strictly observed. Any default in this could lead to cancellation of the entire scheme.
