Paulton Junior School

The final celebrations of our Heritage Lottery funded KS2 Trade Roots programme were held at STEAM on 7 July and Paulton Junior School on 14th July 2016. At STEAM It was fantastic to see the exciting work that the participating Swindon schools had been doing on this project which looks at the global connections of Swindon’s industries and engages with people who have moved to the town to work or for other reasons.

At Paulton Junior School a school hall packed with parents and teachers heard a great presentation from 4P and 4RG about all they had learnt about Paulton’s industrial past, the global connections of their village and the visitors they had met though Trade Roots. They enjoyed watching the Trade Roots film and visiting the children’s ‘stalls’ festooned with Trade Roots bunting and showing off their project work.
